Background Screening Information
All employees and contractors must pass a Level 2 background screening with AHCA and obtain a local background screen from their nearest Sherriff's office to qualify for employment. Once you have completed our online application, a staff member will pull your AHCA record and contact you if you need to be sent for fingerprints.
For local background screens, you may find your nearest Sherrif's office here.
APD Required Trainings: A training account will be made for you once you have completed the application and background screening process. The following courses must be completed within 30 days from your hire date and updated annually:
HIPAA Basics (Annually) - Guide
HIV/AIDS In The News (Annually) - 2024 Course
Direct Care Core Competencies (Once) - Instructions / Guide
Zero Tolerance (Every 3 years) - Instructions / Guide
Employee File Items: All employees must provide copies of the following documents when applying and update these items as needed.
-Drivers License / State ID
-Work Authorization (If Applicable)
-Social Security Card
-Car Registration
-Car Insurance
-CPR & First Aid Certificate - If you do not have this please contact HR and we will assign you to the next available class.
